An address such as [email protected] gives customers a consistent way to contact your business. Here is a simple setup check for domains using cPanel-hosted email.
Before you begin
Confirm where your domain’s email is hosted. These steps apply to cPanel-hosted mailboxes. If you use Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another mail provider, use that provider’s setup instructions instead.
1. Choose an address people can remember
Start with a clear role, such as [email protected] or [email protected]. In cPanel, open Email Accounts and choose Create if your plan allows another mailbox. Choose a strong, unique password and an appropriate storage quota.
2. Connect the devices you use
Next to the mailbox, choose Connect Devices and use the secure settings shown for your account. For browser access, choose Check Email. Add a concise signature with your business name, website, and preferred contact details.
3. Test before you publish
Send a message to an address outside your domain, then reply back. Check the sender name, signature, and incoming delivery. Review mailbox storage regularly so a full inbox does not surprise you. Ask us for help if the test does not work.
Already using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
Keep using your current email provider. Do not change your domain’s mail-routing or MX records just to follow this guide. We can help identify where your email is hosted first.
If sending or receiving fails
Note which app you use, whether webmail works, and the exact error message. Check the mailbox storage limit and compare your app settings with Connect Devices. Ask support before changing DNS or mail routing. Send a screenshot with passwords and other private information removed.
